Page Rank April 2009

Google ranks pages on a scale from 0 to 10. This happens randomly and nobody knows when the page rank will come out. The page ranking is a short process and it's going on right now. If you have the seo toolbar (which you need to download if you don't have it) then every page you visit will have a little green bar and tell you the page rank of that page. New sites that aren't indexed yet will show n/a and once they are indexed they are a 0. Sites can either go up or down with each ranking. It is said that page ranking is done every 3 months.
Why is page rank important?
Well, page rank is important for link building. You want links from pages with high page rank because they are more respected by google and will help your page rank better. The actual page rank of your site doesn't really matter, just the page rank from the sites linking to your page. Today I had multiple Ezine articles go from 0 to 3. This is a huge jump! And since those articles link to my pages, it will help my pages rank for the keywords that were anchored from the ezine pages. So to earn money from home you want to get links from high page rank pages. A link from a PR 4 is a great link! Don't think you will be getting many links from anything above a 5. PR 1's are great as links too! You just want as many links as you can get that are related to your topic. That's why places like trade backlinks are so important for earning money online.
